I had a few co-workers who strongly recommended I use Extensive Home Inspections for a house that I had an accepted offer on. This being my first potential home purchase, and not necessarily knowing much about the process, I thought the house was good to go. Well I’m glad I chose this inspection company because not only was Kelly very thorough and punctual, he also took the time to explain to me the basics and what I needed to know structurally about the home. I was somewhat clueless and he made every effort to show and explain to me everything . Needless to say, I won’t be purchasing the home ( the sellers wouldn’t meet us half way on some things ) but I am continuing my search and wouldn’t go with any other inspection company. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!
As a real estate agent who provides services to veterans, I was concerned when new legislation was passed that requires a termite inspection in order to receive financing through a VA mortgage loan. The VA loan officer referred me to Extensive Home Inspections.
Extensive Home Inspections did an excellent job! Fast, courteous and at a very reasonable rate. Not all inspectors are licensed for pest inspections and the "big name" inspection companies charge quite a bit more. I highly recommend Extensive Home Inspections for anyone needing a general home inspection but especially for those who need a termite inspection for a VA mortgage loan.
My wife and I recently purchased our first home and our Realtor, recommended Kelly and Extensive Home Inspections. The sellers wanted to close within 30 days so it was imperative that we found a home inspector asap. I scheduled our home inspection with Kelly on their website around 8 pm on a Saturday. Within 15 minutes, Kelly texted me thanking me for booking with Extensive and told me he would call tomorrow morning. In talking with Kelly the following morning, I was confident I had made the right choice.
Kelly met with my wife and our Realtor at the home later that week and was incredible. He knew we were first time home buyers and went through and explained everything he was doing to my wife. He showed her several things that most first time home buyers probably wouldn't have known about and explained everything to her in a very easy to understand way.
Kelly was very thorough throughout the inspection. The next day, he sent us a binder with everything he inspected which was extremely helpful. He also told us that if we ever had any questions throughout our time owning this home, we can call him.
I was thrilled with Kelly and Extensive Home Inspections and would strongly recommend him to everyone!
I was able to setup our appointment online. Once I did that Kelly called to confirm what we wanted right away. He also emailed all the paperwork needed the same day. On the day of the appointment he came early and explained that he liked to get the outside work done first, that was why he was early. Once he was done with that he started in the house and was very thorough. I walked around with him and he appreciated that and would stop and explain any question I had. He treated the inspection as if it was his own house. After he was done which was around 3 hours he left and by the end of the day I had my report. I really enjoyed working with Kelly and would definitely recommend him and use him again.
Needed to have a termite inspection for our new home and reached out to Extensive Home Inspection. Kelly was super responsive to messages, extremely knowledgeable and able to fit us in really quickly. Would highly recommend Extensive Home Inspection!!
I'm a first time home buyer & my realtor recommended Kelly. Kelly was fantastic. He communicated time expectations prior to our appointment. When we met he showed me a sample report & how to navigate the various sections. He explained what he would be doing during the inspection. After he completed the inspection, he walked me through the space to point out what he found and why it was an issue. He gave some tips for good maintenance & showed me where to find shut off valves, etc. I received the report later the same day. Kelly was kind, respectful and spoke in layman's terms. I found the inspection to be first rate. I recommend him to anyone and everyone!
Home inspector Andy was polite and professional. Everything was explained in person and in great detail, then explained once again in great detail in the report. Every question I had was answered completely. I would recommend them to realtors and home buyers.

I've had two home inspections prior to Kelly, so I can confidently say he's much more thorough, patient, and helpful than the average inspector. 100% would recommend to anyone purchasing a home, even if you're lucky enough to have no major problems and just want to schedule out your to-do list after the purchase. I am very thankful that Extensive Home Inspections was recommended to my wife and I during the process of purchasing our first home. As a first time home buyer, I am very pleased with all aspects of the service that Kelly (the owner) provided. Kelly was extremely thorough during his inspection and after living in the house for a few weeks now, I can't find a single thing that was missed. He was detailed in not only his inspection and report, but also his explanations about the issues he found, both large and small. Being a new home owner, it is hard to know about every single monthly/yearly maintenance issue to pay attention to, but Kelly was very detailed and clear on what to do and when, what can wait and what needs to be taken care of ASAP. There is no doubt in my mind that Extensive Home Inspections is by far the best choice in the Southeastern Wisconsin area for a home inspection, and for a extremely reasonable price. Throughout our inspection, Kelly to breaks to discuss his findings in complete detail. The end report was very thorough and the important items that needed immediate attention were clearly summarized. We have owned two homes over the past twenty years, both of which fell victim to horrible inspections costing us tens of thousands of dollars. Having remodeled almost every room in a home, replaced roofing, mechanical, and lived through disaster after disaster of poor workmanship, we learned a great deal about what to look for and costs to repair or replace items in a home the right way. As such, we were very skeptical when we had to hire another home inspector for our potential new house, especially since the new property had an in-ground pool. Heck, we even own FLIR technology so doing a lot of energy, electrical, water, and mechanical inspections are routine for us and many inspectors don’t even invest in this inexpensive must have technology. We met Kelly, followed him around for four hours like a stray dog, watched what he did, listened to his explanations, and received his report. All of this within 48 hours. And yes, he has all the tools of the trade to help you receive the best possible inspection. Unfortunately for us, in the end we walked away from the home purchase. The great news was that Kelly saved us from buying yet another fixer upper and potentially tens of thousands of dollars and countless headaches. So, our review is simple, you’re NUTS not to hire Kelly and his company.

Kelly was extremely thorough with his inspection of our new home. As first time home buyers we were nervous about stumbling upon issues after we moved in, but he was able to put our minds at ease. He walked us through each room and the exterior of the house pointing out issues that needed to be fixed right away and issues that we can repair as we have time. He provided us with a well documented final report including pictures of what needs to be repaired so that we have checklist to work off of as we begin projects around the house.
