Kelly Kuchta from Extensive Home Inspections

What Kelly Kuchta enjoys the most about being a home inspector is helping people make educated decisions about their homes. He does this by performing an in-depth inspection of their home and taking the time to explain each of his findings with his client. Also, during the course of the inspection, Kelly points out maintenance items and gives tips on how to keep the home in good shape for when or if it’s time to sell.

Kelly has been interested in home building, repairs and maintenance since he was a kid. He learned many of his skills from his father, who owned and operated as Hardy Kuchta Construction Contractors, in Milwaukee. Kelly worked as a machinist for over 15 yrs, then left that position to rehab homes for a few years and then was a Real Estate Agent (Broker Realtor) for 13 years. While each of these fields are different, the attention to detail and mechanical skills used in those jobs have helped to make him a better Home Inspector.

Kelly took the required courses to become a Home Inspector through AHIT (American Home Inspectors Training) and is a Nationally and State licensed Home Inspector in the State of Wisconsin. He is a member of InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors), and an active InterNACHI chapter member as well as an InterNACHI TOP member and has obtained multiple certificates with AHIT and InterNACHI, Radon, Pools, WDO (Wood destroying Organism) just to name a few. He is a fully licensed FAA Remote Pilot for Small unmanned aircraft system/Drone and is fully insured for every inspection performed.

When not inspecting homes, Kelly enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering at church, bible study, hunting, and did I mention he Loves spending time with his family?

With a background in engineering, Mark approaches a home inspection from an analytical perspective. Having lived in and restored a 130-year-old farmhouse with his wife, Chris, Mark has the hands-on knowledge and practical insight to identify problems unique to older homes. For Mark, the most satisfying part of being a home inspector is helping home buyers & sellers feel comfortable they are making the right decision. Mark is a licensed Home Inspector both nationally and through the state of Wisconsin.

In his free time, Mark & Chris enjoy working on their current home, a mid-century ranch, and spending time with their son, a website developer, and daughter, a registered nurse.

Nicholas Kuchta from Extensive Home Inspections

Nick is a Nationally and State registered Home Inspector in the state of Wisconsin. Nick is a member of InterNACHI, which is a professional home inspector organization, where he continues his education to ensure he can provide the best service possible to his clients. While growing up, Nick watched his parents excel at being real estate agents, and that sparked his interest in wanting to do some form of work in the housing market. After his father Kelly started his own Home Inspection Company, Nick knew he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps, and become a home inspector. Being a homeowner, Nick can relate to the worries and concerns that come with owning a home. In his free time, Nick enjoys hunting, fishing, and most of all, spending his time with his wife, daughter, and his two dogs, Pancho and Moose. His goal by the end of every home inspection, is to arm his clients with the best knowledge he can provide, as well as to try and give them the information they need to put their mind at ease and know that there should be joy in owning a home.

We've been trained by some of the best inspectors in the country, and carry the AHIT certification. AHIT is the largest home inspection training institute in North America, and is approved by ASHI, NACHI, and other professional organizations. We're ready to put that experience and knowledge to work for you.

I had a few co-workers who strongly recommended I use Extensive Home Inspections for a house that I had an accepted offer on. This being my first potential home purchase, and not necessarily knowing much about the process, I thought the house was good to go. Well I’m glad I chose this inspection company because not only was Kelly very thorough and punctual, he also took the time to explain to me the basics and what I needed to know structurally about the home. I was somewhat clueless and he made every effort to show and explain to me everything . Needless to say, I won’t be purchasing the home ( the sellers wouldn’t meet us half way on some things ) but I am continuing my search and wouldn’t go with any other inspection company. I was able to setup our appointment online. Once I did that Kelly called to confirm what we wanted right away. He also emailed all the paperwork needed the same day. On the day of the appointment he came early and explained that he liked to get the outside work done first, that was why he was early. Once he was done with that he started in the house and was very thorough. I walked around with him and he appreciated that and would stop and explain any question I had. He treated the inspection as if it was his own house. After he was done which was around 3 hours he left and by the end of the day I had my report. When we met he showed me a sample report & how to navigate the various sections. He explained what he would be doing during the inspection. We have owned two homes over the past twenty years, both of which fell victim to horrible inspections costing us tens of thousands of dollars. Having remodeled almost every room in a home, replaced roofing, mechanical, and lived through disaster after disaster of poor workmanship, we learned a great deal about what to look for and costs to repair or replace items in a home the right way. As such, we were very skeptical when we had to hire another home inspector for our potential new house, especially since the new property had an in-ground pool. Heck, we even own FLIR technology so doing a lot of energy, electrical, water, and mechanical inspections are routine for us and many inspectors don’t even invest in this inexpensive must have technology. We met Kelly, followed him around for four hours like a stray dog, watched what he did, listened to his explanations, and received his report. All of this within 48 hours. And yes, he has all the tools of the trade to help you receive the best possible inspection. Unfortunately for us, in the end we walked away from the home purchase. The great news was that Kelly saved us from buying yet another fixer upper and potentially tens of thousands of dollars and countless headaches. So, our review is simple, you’re NUTS not to hire Kelly and his company.
